Over many years, our range of Sporting Chance Awards have identified and supported over a hundred young recipients to help expand their confidence, networks and opportunities. Many have gone on to enjoy highly successful sporting careers with their endeavours drawing National and International acclaim.
The Ron Barassi Award – Awarded to a young person with a disability who has displayed spirit, courage and determination in the pursuit of their sporting goals.
The Jim Bacon Memorial Award – Awarded to a young person with a disability who has displayed sportsmanship and a spirit of fun in their sporting endeavours.
Junior Lord’s Taverners Award – Awarded to young male and female cricketers who display outstanding ability, sportsmanship and general attitude to the game of cricket both on and off the field.
North Melbourne Football Club & Lords Taverners Tasmania Football Scholarship – Awarded to promising young footballers demonstrating commitment, respect, open communication, honesty, work ethic, attitude and discipline. Chosen by a panel from AFL Tasmania and the North Melbourne Football Club.
We also conduct the Tavs Tas Spirit of Cricket Award with the main regional cricket Associations and Cricket Tasmania. See more info below…
